My cousin found Mickey wandering around on a golf course and took him home. He is a sweet dog but very territorial and protective of his family. He lives in a house with four other small dogs and has no problem with them. He and I used to get along just fine when we saw me often, but as I got older and wasn't around as much he started thinking of me as a stranger. He lives at my grandmother's house where I feel very comfortable. One day I was letting myself in, hearing the dogs barking loudly at the door as they always do. I opened the door to try to get inside; Mickey obviously didn't recognize me and tried to bite me, hard. I only ended up with a small cut and bruise, but considering that this dog is hulking, it could have been a lot worse. I know he was just trying to protect his family, but now whenever I go to my grandma's, I make sure Mickey is in the backyard first.
