The basics:
RightPet does not advocate the intentional cross-breeding of purebred dogs. But the reality is that most dogs available for adoption at shelters and rescues are mixed breeds. We think it might be helpful to hear from owners of these mixes to see what traits can be found in these dogs who are desperately needing homes.

The first generation Griffinpoo is a cross between a pure Brussels Griffon and a pure Poodle, although subsequent generations may have different proportions of the two breeds in the mix. This so-called designer hybrid is intended to create an apartment-sized toy that fits easily into many families.

Appearance / health:
While all mixed-breed dogs can vary in appearance, the Griffonpoo may be larger than you expected if the Poodle in the mix was a Standard.

Behavior / temperament:
While it's always difficult to predict the exact personality of a mixed-breed dog, the Griffinpoo is likely to be devoted to its people. Don't leave these dogs alone for long hours of the day.

This is a must, a complete cure for pyometra. The only reason I would not spay a dog for this condition would be a patient which is not stable enough to undergo anesthesia and surgery. Pyometra is one of the many reasons why I am a big believer in early (less than 6 months old) spaying of dogs.
