My sister and I adopted Poncho from the animal shelter as a gift for our grandma one Christmas. He was skinny and sickly and we really felt for him. We took him into the "get to know you" section of the shelter and discovered pretty quickly that he was a total sweetheart. We took him home and soon with my grandma's cooking and treat-feeding, he was a fat and rotund little guy. He's much taller than a normal chihuahua; I'm told his breed is deer chihuahua. He is the most cuddly dog I've ever known, and I've known quite a few. He is content to just sit in your lap all day and get his ears scratched. He's loyal and loving, definitely one my favorite dogs. He'll sleep in bed with you if you let him, diving under the covers and burrowing down by your feet. My grandma was thrilled that Christmas.
