I also acquired a collie when I got married. Duchess is one of the best dogs I've come across. She listens to me, is very laid back, and is a great babysitter! She can be a pain to groom, all that hair! She is very sweet and loves lots of attention. Sometimes she seems to want too much attention, but will lay down and leave you alone if you tell her to. She is very good at letting you know if something/someone is in your backyard at night! Other than that she is quiet and reserved. Will lay there and let you love on her all day.
