Since we've had Amber for about 5 years now, it's safe to say we know her fully by now. Initially, we had some issues with getting her to listen (wouldn't want to go outside when told, wouldn't sit, wouldn't stay, etc.); collies can be extremely stubborn sometimes and this was 100% the case with Amber. However, after a little while, this subsided completely. Now, she's developed into a great dog - she listens well, walks great on a leash, people love her in public, and she enjoys being around my family and playing both by herself and with other dogs/people. Overall, one has to be aware of the sometimes infuriating stubbornness this breed can, and will, exhibit, but they do make excellent family dogs with their playfulness and general awareness of different situations.
