Everyone knows the dachshund for their silly shape. Despite their small size, they are an extremely active breed of dog. They need a home with people with an active lifestyle. They love to walk and run, but most of all, they love to explore and wander off on their own. My dachshund Frank was very curious. Everything that had a smell had to be explored, and he also wanted to try everything. He was an obedient dog, but he did let you know whenever he wanted a piece of whatever food was on the table!

This curiosity is unfortunately what made my dog pass away. My grandfather was eating an egg at the kitchen table when the doorbell rang. When he got up to look who rang, Frank jumped on the table to grab the egg, but he made an unfortunate fall. This is certainly a breed to keep an eye on. Very sweet and lovable, but very curious.
