Dalmatians are a strange kettle of fish! I’ve met all kinds of temperaments in Dalmatians. Some were easy going, others highly strung and others displayed obsessive behaviour. They can be easy to training, if training is delivered early. They are very active dogs and do require plenty of exercise, so please don’t consider a Dalmatian if you don’t have space to let them run around or you can’t walk them every day (twice a day is best). You need to train Dalmatians when they are young or their massive amounts of energy will turn to destructive behaviour. They can also be cranky with other animals if you don’t take have firm control over them. They are good with children IF, and only IF, they have good obedience training otherwise they can overpower and hurt children. A good natured Dalmatian is good with children.
