MacGregor was our first family dog, so he pre-dated my birth by a couple of years. He was so loving and protective, and put up with small children doing all kinds of things -- i recall even dressing him up on occasion, and he was more than happy for the attention, and enormously patient! He was very obedient and walked very well on a leash, and enjoyed all kinds of outdoor activities. One of his favorite things to do was to ride on a toboggan in the winter time, and often would ride the toboggan as it was being pulled behind a snowmobile! He'd stand proud with the wind in his face and tail wagging away! In the summer he would prefer to be out of the heat, but loved to get wet when we'd go to the lake to swim. We had a vegetable garden and he would daintily pick beans and pea pods off the bushes to eat, and when we'd go out picking wild strawberries he'd nibble them right off the vines! All in all, the best dog a family could have. I was devastated when he passed, but he lived to be almost fourteen years old, it was a good, long and happy life for him, packed with fond memories ...
