Apokyn etc. (apomorphine) is a dopamine agonist medication (a morphine derivative) that acts on areas of the central nervous system. For cats and dogs, apomorphine is primarily used to induce vomiting when an animal has eater something toxic or poisonous.
Apomorphine is very slowly absorbed when given orally, so the typical route of administration is topically on the eye or injected subcutaneously.
