My name is John and I guess I've been a spider freak forever. I started
with nipping ants and pitching 'em into spider webs at age 5 or so, and
never lost the enthusiasm for my lil' 8 legged pals. Some folks look
for the spring's first robin...I look for the first spider =)

I had a couple of tarantulas when I had my first apartment, and one
lasted for 6 years before I gave it to my partner's nephew. The other
one, was bounced off a bookcase by a nervous friend who freaked when she
moved in his hand =(

So....here I am at 48 with 11 Tarantulas =) I figured it's time to try
again, and this time I'm more careful with who holds 'em. Someone
warned me that after buying T #1, I would become addicted to collecting
them. "Feh" said I! Again, 10 T's later =) I've had a lifetime of
cats and dogs and sometimes they just require too much attention.
Tarantulas do NOT.

I feel almost like a kid again cuz this time I can get all the T's I
want and I can get so many different kinds! Candy store, yah? I love
it.
