I've been working with exotic animals for 15 years and am very experienced with reptiles, invertebrates and amphibians. I keep quite a few snakes and lizards at home, as well as African Pygmy Hedgehogs, a German Shepherd dog and Bengal Cat.

 and a cat. Having been brought up with them, she is 100% safe around them and very gentle. <br><br>She tends to be very family orientated, and can be quite aloof with strangers. I took her to a weekly puppy training class and she learnt obedience very quickly. She does moult and when she does - hairs everywhere - but a good brush takes care of it. When she's not moulting, hair loss is very minimal, so very easy to care for.<br><br>If you're looking for a loyal family dog that is easy to train then I recommend a German Shepherd - but they do need a strong hand and someone who is willing to put the basics into training. You should also look into potential hip problems as this can be a serious issue with the breed - but is largely avoidable by buying from reputable breeders and hipscored parents. Coming up to 9 years old now, Skye has had zero health problems.){kind=link}
