She was so cool, she was a racing dog and you could see the inside of her ear had a tattoo to prove it. <br><br>I could never even imagine what those dogs went through at the race track, our dog was so neurotic as a result of it. She never ever sat, only laid down or stood up. I guess for some reason they do not teach them to sit at the track. Also, she was so scared of loud noises, we always figured it was because it reminded her of the gun when it went off at the track. I just never felt like I REALLY knew my dog, because she had this terrible past that seemed to linger in her current personality. I wish I could adopt every single greyhound and stop this racing, it seems like these dogs are too sensitive for that type of experience. I felt like I had a soldier dog, she was so cool. <br><br>We loved her so much that we got an italian greyhound for her to play with. Once we got another dog of her similar breed, we finally got to see her happy, playful and fun. I think these dogs need companionship, not only from humans, but from other greyhounds too.){kind=link}

They are seriously amazing, really friendly, never bark, always listen to me. One is 7, one is 11. They always lay under a blanket, if they are laying down they are not comfortable without one. I do have problems trying to get them to gain weight. People always accuse me of starving them but my vet assures me they are perfect weight. I think they look great, but some people have opinions of their own and they love to express them. I wish more people would become familiar with italian greyhounds because it is frustrating trying to explain that my dogs are supposed to be skinny and I am not starving them. Every once in a while you find those people that are very familiar with the breed and they actually greet you happily when they see you walking with your italian greyhound, aka "iggy", down the street. I will never get a different breed of small dog, this one is just so perfect.){kind=link}
