I've worked in the animal industry for roughly 5 years and have owned dogs all my life. I've come into contact with many different breeds and mixes. I've learned more than I thought I could about canine body language, temperament, behavior and training. I try to take this information with me everywhere I go. I always try to take an opportunity to educate people where I can.

. If she weren't picky with what dogs she gets along with, I'd foster or adopt her in a heartbeat, she's such a sweetie and I love working on her training! One day I know she'll find the perfect home. The stigma attached to this breed and similar is ridiculous, Madge has been through hell and back and still loves people, they can be wonderful dogs-or awful, it's all in how you treat them.){kind=link}
. Bruno was brilliant, knew all of his obedience and then some. He was wonderful with his daughter as well. He was the calmest Border Collie I'd ever met, he got along with every dog he came into contact with. He was, in essence, the perfect dog. Granted he would dig sometimes, but that was really his only issue. I had Bruno in my home for a while, when his owner had no place to live, he knew I'd take care of his boy-he didn't trust anyone else to. Bruno would cuddle in bed with me and followed me everywhere. Though he was a trash picker and liked to lick my windows for some reason...very unique personality, but nonetheless a great dog. Sadly, when I gave Bruno back to his owner, he ended up escaping-we weren't able to find him. I like to think a nice family found him and he has a wonderful and happy life. I know his calmness isn't usual of a Border, he never even tried to herd, but I think that made him an even more amazing and unique friend.){kind=link}

He's pretty much the best puppy I've ever met. He's not mine, but he does hang out with me when there are no other little guys for him to play with at daycare! He's very laid back and loving. I swear he knows how cute he is; he'll lay on his back with his front paws in the air like he's saying 'pet me!'. When he barks it's only when he's riled up and playing, otherwise he's quiet for the most part. He's a happy-go-lucky little man who just wants to give everyone love and kisses, not a mean bone in his body. He doesn't even nip, he'll just hold your finger in his mouth, applying no pressure. If Coton's didn't cost like $4k I would totally consider getting a little puff ball! Their grooming should be kept with with regularly, Newt's due for a cut, his bangs are over his eyes! A great breed if you just want to chill; as long as you can get past the price of buying and grooming! While Newt isn't my personal dog, he's still "my" baby and I'm his auntie!){kind=link}
 he began to grow and is now almost 2 years old. To my knowledge he's had little, if any, formal training; while we do work with him it doesn't stick if it isn't reinforced in the home. He is incredibly intelligent and can pick up on things very quickly, though. He also loves to play in the water buckets and puddles (if there are any) as he's a water dog so we're constantly-everyday-giving this poor dog at the least a rinse off so he'll be pristine when he goes home in the evening. My personal feelings are this breed is not for the first time dog owner, someone who is a couch potato, or for anyone who expects their home to be spotless all the time! They're big and strong and need proper training and exercise or they will become unmanageable on and off leash. I love Cooper, I think he's a big goof, but a Bouvier isn't the breed for me! (And unfortunately I have no photos of Cooper as he finds it impossible to stay still for more than 2 seconds!).){kind=link}
, he gets along with almost any dog, too. When I take him to daycare, everyone human or canine adores him! He even participated in a 5k to help raise money for veterans! He's been nicknamed Fergus the Fox due to his coloring and markings. He's, paws down, the best dog I've ever owned or interacted with and I'm so glad he chose us!){kind=link}
, vocal, intelligent, and very high-strung. Once we brought him home we started working on 'sit' which he picked up quickly, also I began taking him to puppy daycare so he could get some socialization. True to his Jack nature, he'd go after rodents if he saw them, in or outside of the apartment, he also went after butterflies. He'd also nip at people's heels. He had a very large personality in that little body! He thought he was eight feet tall and tried to take on any big dog he could (we didn't let him of course) and he wanted his voice to be heard! I never say him with small children, but I would assume he'd have been alright given the proper supervision. Sadly his JRT nature is why he is no longer with us today. Yoshi got into something he shouldn't have, and we couldn't save him in time, he passed away at 4 months old. We were heartbroken, and still are over a year later. He was our boy, our pride and joy and we miss him every day. I'm very thankful for the time I got with Yoshi, and know I'll see him again at the Rainbow Bridge!){kind=link}
