She's always been super docile, calm, and sweet. She's never had aggression issues or obedience issues.
We always joke that she wished she was a mom because she loves carrying around stuffed animals and sleeping with them; rarely every actually chewing on them. In fact, she loves carrying things around and showing you. She'll have the smallest twig in her mouth and then come up and paw you to show you.
She's so funny, she'll even try to show the other dogs what she's carrying and try to get them to take it away from her. Right when they get close to getting it she jerks away. She'll repeat this little game of hers until the other dog just gives up trying or she grows bored. We love her funny little characteristics and easy temperament.
Annie has been the sweetest dog we've owned and we're very happy with her. She's all around very easy.){kind=link}
 so she has some obedience issues.
Other than that, Maia is a delight and we love her dearly. She has a precious face and that melts you right to your core. She's very cuddly and enjoys being as close as she possibly can to you. She even enjoys sleeping under the covers when she's cold.
Another unique and amusing trait Maia has is that she loves young men. My brother bought her when she was a puppy so she lived in a house with five college guys for her first year of life. Still to this day, whenever a guy or my brothers visit my mom's house she goes crazy. She absolutely loves their attention and won't leave their side.
We love our Maia and have enjoyed owning her, but she definitely isn't our easiest dog.){kind=link}
 genes; that breed is known for their loyalty to usually one or two people and not caring much for others.
In fact, because that breed is so loyal to one person or just their family, you have to be extra careful to socialize them as a puppy to a lot of people so that they don't become aggressive to newcomers.
Benny was never aggressive to anyone, although whenever someone hugged me or my mom, particularly a man, Benny would start growling and barking. He never once bit anyone but he was very protective of us in that way.
Benny listened extremely well and rarely disobeyed. We could have him out front with us and he would never stray far; always checking to make sure we were near.
He preferred our company over the other dogs and would get easily annoyed but another dog bothering him. We often had to correct him from growling and snapping at the other dogs, but it was usually just the young dogs being rowdy around him.
Although he had some temperamental issues we loved Benny so much. I believe his loyalty and protectiveness of my mom and I made us connect with him more so than any other dog.
If you are looking for a dog that doesn't need other dogs and is loyal to you I highly recommend this breed. He was so easy and a wonderful companion. We dearly miss him.){kind=link}
