Analgesia is a necessary part of breast cancer treatment since surgery remains the only viable therapy option. NSAIDs are a cornerstone of any analgesic treatment, and ketoprofen can be used, though it there are better choices.
Besides providing weaker analgesia then newer NSAIDs like Coxibs, Carprofen and Meloxicam, ketoprofen also produces more side-effects and isn't recommended to be used for longer than 5 days in dogs.
There really is no reason to use this analgesic if the above-mentioned ones are available.
