Can be indicative but it's not specific

Since pancreas is the main organ which controls glicemia (glucose levels in the blood) changes in blood sugar level might be indicative of pancreatitis though it's not very specific and can't point to a diagnosis on it's own, since pancreatitis is hard to diagnose.
There are specific blood test for pancreatitis like serum cPLI (serum canine pancreatic lipase immunoreactivity essay) which is strongly suggestive of pancreatitis if the test is positive, but it doesn't exclude it as possible diagnosis if it's negative.
